How the Conversion Engine Works
PDF.js rendering and PDF-Lib output assembly
PDF.js renders each selected page in your browser. The tool converts the rendered pixels to grayscale or black and white, encodes the page as a JPEG image, and embeds it in a new PDF using PDF-Lib.
- Grayscale: Converts visible page colors into shades of gray.
- Monochrome: Applies a threshold to produce black or white pixels.
- Other presets: Ink Saver lightens gray tones; Inverted reverses light and dark tones.
